Celebrating young talent in the community. Witnessing the growth of young creators. Voices and visions in full bloom.
The Hands Unite Art Contest celebrates the creativity and voices of students in Grades 1–12. Each year, a new theme invites young artists and writers to share their unique perspectives through original 2D artwork and short written pieces.
The contest offers an opportunity for students to:
Showcase their talent in a public forum
Gain recognition from their community
Have their work considered for publication in our annual anthology
Entries are judged on creativity, originality, connection to the theme, and age-appropriate skill. Top winners are honored at a special showcase, with published participants receiving a complimentary copy of the anthology.
Theme: This is My Family
The Hands Unite Art Contest invites students in Grades 1–12 to explore the theme “This is My Family” through creative art and literacy. This year's contest invites you to share your vision of family, whether through people, traditions, culture, or the unique connections that give you a sense of belonging.
When we say "This is My Family," we celebrate the incredible diversity of what family means to different students. We want every child to feel proud of their family's stories and confident in sharing them through their art and writing.
Thank you for encouraging your students to participate and for helping them see that every family is something wonderful to celebrate.
